Surf Ghana

Surf Ghana

Surf Ghana is a non-governmental organization founded in 2016, using surfing and skateboarding as tools for youth empowerment in Ghana. The organization focuses on creating safe spaces that promote sports, arts, and cultural entrepreneurship, providing young people with opportunities for personal growth, self-expression, and economic development. Its mission includes empowering youth through physical health and self-confidence, promoting inclusivity and cultural exchange, and fostering entrepreneurship and skills development.

Surf Ghana also advocates for sustainable practices and policy development to establish surf and skate federations in Ghana. The organization has made significant strides with the creation of the Freedom Skatepark and Surf House in Busua, as well as launching Vibrate Space, a creative hub supporting emerging artists. Through cultural exchange programs and skate tours across Africa, Surf Ghana fosters collaboration and strengthens African representation in board sports.
